Travel informationBy car
Take exit 2 (Hoog Kortrijk) on highway E17, then follow directions to Kortrijk-Centrum.

By train
Kortrijk train station is within walking distance (15 min). Train schedules: national and international. Brussels Midi: 1h 5 min, Lille Flandres: 33 min.

By air travel
From Brussels Airport take the shuttle train to Brussels Midi train station, then on to Kortrijk. Charleroi Airport (Brussels South) and Lille Airport connect with several European destinations (both served by Ryanair). Paris CDG airport is connected to Lille by high speed train (50 min).

Restaurant Ripasso The conference dinner on 23th May, 2016 will take place at restaurant Ripasso: Engelse Wandeling 2, 8510 Kortrijk. The restaurant is in the boiler room of an old, renovated and redestinated tile plant. You can have a look on the two steam engines for power generation.

The route between UGent Campus Kortrijk (workshop) and Ripasso, a 1,8km walk, will be guided and/or organized by car pool.

Suggestion for accompanied partnersJoining partners are offered the option to attend the pre-conference dinner on 23 May. You can subscribe under ‘registration’. There are also several attractive possibilities for visiting neighbouring cities. The cities of Ghent and Bruges or the Belgian coast (e.g. Ostend) are easily reached by train (between 30 minutes – 1 hour). The city center of Kortrijk is walking distance from the UGent campus. Attendee partners are encouraged to contact us on W2P@ugent.be for suggestions or further practical information.
